Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia, but one or more redirects you created, such as with Ad hoc network, have been considered disruptive and/or malicious, and have been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Thanks. Niaz(Talk • Contribs) 16:17, 8 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Nov 2009[edit]

I take exception to Niaz's comment above.

To quote Peer-to-peer: "Peer-to-peer networks are typically formed dynamically by ad hoc additions of nodes. In an 'ad-hoc' network, the removal of nodes has no significant impact on the network. The distributed architecture of an application in a peer-to-peer system provides enhanced scalability and service robustness."

The Peer-to-peer article is quite clearly talking about ACTUAL ad-hoc networks, while ad hoc network falsely leads to wireless ad hoc networks, (because wireless ad hoc network researchers have no idea that anything came before  ;-) ), and so I changed it. I call that logical and social behaviour, not disruptive or malicious.

OK...

I mistakenly used P2P instead of Peer-to-peer in the redirect... difficult to pick up that error, because the admins involved in this matter didn't discuss anything. sorry! Ooskapenaar (talk) 07:15, 15 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
