Welcome to Wikipedia![edit]
I'm Cabayi, one of the other editors here, and I hope you decide to stay and help contribute to this amazing repository of knowledge.

There are many ways you can contribute to Wikipedia. Here are a few ideas:

To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own personal sandbox for use any time. It's perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}}
on your userpage.
Please remember to:
- Always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes
~~~~
at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to your talk page, and a timestamp. - Leave descriptive edit summaries for your edits. Doing so helps other editors understand what changes you have made and why you made them.
UAA[edit]
Thanks for the report at WP:UAA but please note that some wikis allow organisation accounts - see Commons policy for an example, the German wiki is another. Please don't report users at WP:UAA if they haven't edited on this wiki. Cabayi (talk) 16:21, 18 May 2024 (UTC)
- We only take action on accounts that haven't edited if the username is horrific - really, really bad. Normal corporate spam doesn't meet the threshold. Secretlondon (talk) 17:20, 26 May 2024 (UTC)
June 2024[edit]
For the second time of asking, please do not report users at UAA who have not edited this wiki. If you have questions, feel free to ask me. Cabayi (talk) 07:37, 8 June 2024 (UTC)
- Will it be better not to report from here. Please advice. Thanks Agent 007 (talk) 07:40, 8 June 2024 (UTC)
- Tagging @Cabayi for reply to above query. Agent 007 (talk) 07:42, 8 June 2024 (UTC)
- That's exactly what I'm saying.
- How would you feel if one of the hundreds of other wikis found that your username contravened one of their policies even though you had never edited there? You'd find yourself inexplicably denied access to the Wikipedia Library and any other tool that required you to be block-free. If a user has not actively edited this wiki they are not bound by the username rules of this wiki.
- By the standards you've been using, despite only editing on three projects you'd find yourself subject to the username rules of forty five.
- As Secretlondon said, only if the username is exceedingly offensive in English would we block an account which has not edited here. Cabayi (talk) 13:53, 8 June 2024 (UTC)
