Welcome to the July 2013 edition of the Bugle!

The backlog reduction drive conducted during June was highly successful. The targets for three of the categories (requested photographs of military history, articles with incomplete B-Class checklists and articles needing expert attention) were exceeded, and solid progress was made against the other goals. The final results broken down by participating editor is available here. Wild Wolf placed first, followed very closely by Peacemaker67, with PINTofCARLING in third. Editors interested in following up on the project's backlogs will find lots to keep them busy in the military history articles needing attention and military history articles with incomplete B-Class checklists categories.

In our regular departments this month, the book review focuses on Australian frontier wars, and article news showcases a record number of Featured and A-Class articles so far for 2013. There is no op-ed this month, but we have brought you one of our semi-regular interviews, which this month features a trio of MilHist editors discussing their experiences with their respective Wikimedia chapters.

Your editors, Ian Rose (talk) and Nick-D (talk).
