Would you come back to "big Utd" if there would be a change in management (for the better obviously)?

A lot of FC fans would, but I wouldn't unless FC folded. The last couple of seasons at Old Trafford I kept finding myself surrounded by people who didn't want there to be any atmosphere - if someone started singing they'd look at them a bit funny and you could tell they just wanted to sit in silence. It's the same at most Premiership clubs now, but United have tried too hard to attract new fans and there are just too many of them there. It had got to the stage where I was starting to feel bored at matches sometimes (for the first time, and I'd been going for 20 years. I've seen far worse football at times, but never been bored before.) At FC I'm surrounded by people who want to have a good time, and the choice of spending seven quid and standing with them or spending thirty quid to go to OT is a no-brainer. I just enjoy it more. There are still thousands of genuine fans at OT of course, especially in the Stretford End, but get stuck in the wrong stand on your own (as I usually was - all the people I used to go with had been priced out) and you might as well be watching on TV. I really enjoyed the atmosphere in the pub and at away games but apart from the really big home games (Arsenal, Liverpool) it was just dead last season. Never seen it as bad as that before and don't think getting rid of the Glazers would solve that unless we got all the hoolies back in and recreated the seventies :-) CTOAGN (talk) 08:36, 26 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,

That article looks good to me. Images are a real problem though, as you've probably noticed there are people on WP going through articles looking for copyrighted images and deleting them. Have a look at Wikipedia:Image use policy and Wikipedia:Fair use - you may be able to use a promotional image as fair use even if you can't get the copyright holder to release it. The really annoying thing is that images under a non-commercial only license aren't allowed, so even if a copyright holder says it's fine to use an image on Wikipedia, it isn't usually enough. It's a real pain in the arse so I hardly ever upload images that I haven't taken myself, but good luck if you decide to have a go. CTOAGN (talk) 13:58, 5 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
