My draft, Glory to the Heroes (video game)[edit]

Hello, while searching for more sources I found that the Ukrainian Wikipedia already has a page for the Game. I was wondering if there is any way to link the two pages when my draft gets accepted Salfanto (talk) 13:59, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Salfanto: Yes, this is done through Wikidata. The item is Glory to the Heroes (Q117484470). Skyshiftertalk 14:49, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. Also I wanted to ask if the Ukrainian site Gamedev.dou.ua and the Indie Cup are considered as primary sources. Salfanto (talk) 14:56, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Salfanto: The Indie Cup source is primary; the Indie Cup themselves are saying what the nominees are. Gamedev doesn't seem to be primary; however, it doesn't seem reliable. From the URL, it seems that it is a forum, which would be WP:UGC. Skyshiftertalk 15:21, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I found that odd because the link says it's a form yet it's structured as an article and the only chat on that website is comments on articles Salfanto (talk) 15:26, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Even if it's not a forum, its reliability is uncertain, so I wouldn't count it for notability/GNG unless its reliability can be demonstrated. Skyshiftertalk 15:52, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Also I found a source from the indie cup's website that goes into detail about the game. Here's the link: https://indiecup.net/ukraine/participants/glory-to-the-heroes/ Salfanto (talk) 15:39, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Salfanto: The text is clearly written by the developers themselves; some parts read "our products", "we"... Skyshiftertalk 15:51, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
In the about developer section or the main body of the article? Salfanto (talk) 15:53, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, you can read that in the body of the article. Skyshiftertalk 15:54, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah I just found it. Also would these articles be considered primary sources?
Article 1: https://kpi.ua/en/2022-10-25-rtf
Article 2: https://babel.ua/en/texts/92773-in-the-shooter-glory-to-the-heroes-it-was-offered-to-play-a-war-on-the-side-of-the-russians-there-are-also-games-about-bucha-and-mariupol-why-is-this-normal-we-are-looking-for-answers-together-with-th Salfanto (talk) 16:03, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Salfanto: There is a difference between primary and independent. For GNG a source has to be: non-primary, independent, reliable, and give significant coverage. Article 1 for example is not primary, however it is not independent because it is Kyiv Polytechnic Institute reporting about a graduate from Kyiv Polytechnic Institute creating a game. So it doesn't count for notability. Article 2 is, apparently, okay. The authors of the article seems to have some graduations and have worked for other Ukranian journals. However, I can't say for sure that it is reliable (and in turn, if it counts for GNG). Skyshiftertalk 16:12, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the info. I'll keep on improving the article Salfanto (talk) 16:59, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The following scorers in Round 2 all scored more than 500 points:

The full scores for Round 2 can be seen here. So far this year, competitors have gotten 18 featured articles, 22 featured lists, and 186 good articles, 76 in the news credits and at least 200 did you know credits. They have conducted 165 featured article reviews, as well as 399 good article reviews and peer reviews, and have added 21 articles to featured topics and good topics.

Quick question re Wikidata redirects[edit]

Hi Skyshifter! I noticed that you added {{R with Wikidata item}} to Droopy Likes Your Face & Droopy Likes Ricochet. I just wanted to check whether you intended for them to be linked on Wikidata to:

My guess is to the latter two items, given they're the ones connected on Wikidata to Minecraft – Volume Alpha (Q1523255) 2011 video game soundtrack album by C418, but I just wanted to check :)

All the best, ‍—‍a smart kitten[meow] 10:39, 4 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello @A smart kitten: The Wikidata standard is to link the article to the song item. I will finish linking these articles now. Skyshiftertalk 11:49, 4 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on I'm the Devil requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a recently created redirect from an implausible typo or misnomer, or other unlikely search term.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Information icon Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. About reviewing "Sea of Voices"[edit]

Hey Skyshifter! I do appreciate you jumping on yet another review of one of my articles, but as I alluded to in one of our earlier conversations, I believe it may not be appropriate for you to act as a reviewer on this article due to our extensive collaboration in this topic area. This is especially true as we're currently co-nominators on Worlds. I'll leave the ultimate decision up to you, but I wanted to voice my thoughts about it before moving forward with it. Let me know what you think. TechnoSquirrel69 (sigh) 17:01, 14 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@TechnoSquirrel69: I think it's fine; we just edit about the same artist. My GA reviews are the same whatever the topic is or whoever the nominator is, as the GA criteria are objective. I think there would be a problem only if i.e. I made a less extensive review or with less attention to the GA criteria just because it's an article related to Robinson.
