July 2023[edit]
Hello, I'm Cordless Larry. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Ilaria Ramelli, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Cordless Larry (talk) 16:00, 24 July 2023 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest[edit]
Hello, Jairon Levid Abimael Caál Orozco. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Ilaria Ramelli, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam#External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Cordless Larry (talk) 17:36, 24 July 2023 (UTC)
ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message[edit]
Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}}
to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:40, 28 November 2023 (UTC)
Misattribution of sources[edit]
You seem to be parsing a document at https://www.academia.edu/44318953/John_1_1_Was_the_Word_God_or_a_god_ for rebuttals to criticism of the NWT at New World Translation, but not properly attributing where you are getting the material from. Additionally, it is not appropriate to try to find contradictions in sources by simply quoting separate statements from a source that seem to be contradictory (but in the case of Barclay are actually not), unless there is a separate source that makes the point about the supposed contradiction.--Jeffro77 Talk 09:19, 19 February 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for the advice.--Jairon Levid Abimael Caál Orozco (talk) 09:34, 19 February 2024 (UTC)
- You still seem to be grabbing quotes from some other source that appear to give support to the NWT. Duthie does not list the NWT among the "top five" translations, and the quote appears in a different part of the page in the original book. The 'top five' refers to a list on pages 93-94 of the same book. The top five are GNB, NJB, NAB, NEB & NIV. The NWT is 14th in the list. If you are getting quotes from some place other than the actual cited source, please indicate where you read it.--Jeffro77 Talk 02:36, 22 March 2024 (UTC)
