Welcome to Wikipedia!

Welcome to Wikipedia, J2000ca! I'm Celestianpower. I noticed that you were new and/or have yet to receive any messages so I just thought I'd pop in to say "hello". Hello. Wikipedia can be a little intimidating at first, since it's so big but we won't bite so Be Bold and get what you know down in microchips! If you do make a mistake, that's fine, we'll assume good faith and just correct you: it'll take a few seconds maximum! Here, however, are a few links to get you started:

There are lots of policies and guidelines to get to grips with but they all make your life easier and your stay more fun in the long run. If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or add {{helpme}} to your userpage - someone will come very, very quickly to your aid. Please be sure to sign your posts on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~) to produce your name and the current date, along with a link to your user page. This way, others know when you left a message and how to find you. It's easier than having to type out your name, right? ;)

I hope you enjoy contributing to Wikipedia. We can use all the help we can get! Have a great time, all the best, sayonara and good luck! --Celestianpower hab 10:05, 15 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Seeking feedback on Google Groups article[edit]

Hello. I wrote an article about a related topic, Google Groups. As a new Wikipedia writer, I would appreciate any feedback on my article. Please help me by posting your feedback at the Wikipedia:Article Feedback Desk. If you wrote an article and are seeking feedback on it, please post your article at the Article Feedback Desk as well. If you could suggest better ways for me to seek feedback on my article, do leave a note at my talk page. --J.L.W.S. The Special One 13:14, 3 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Google Services[edit]

Hey. I noticed that you've added {{cleancat}} to Category:Google Services without mentioning the problem on the talk page - what seems to be the issue? If you want the category populated, I suggest replacing {{cleancat}} with {{popcat}}. Anything else probably needs to be mentioned on the talk page. SeventyThree(Talk) 09:09, 26 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I added a bit of a description however your may be right in that it's incorrectly marked.--J2000ca 02:42, 1 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Why do think this image should be tagged as {{NoRightsReserved}}? I removed that tag, and marked it as "no license", which will cause it to be deleted. --Rob 06:59, 16 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I know the circumstances surround them and they were orginally taken to showcase the school online and to be reused on other sites.--J2000ca 07:01, 16 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I've listed the image at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree images. Administrators (not me) will make the final decision. Unfortunately, we often can't use images, even when we have permission, as such permission is often not broad enough. --Rob 07:11, 16 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'm the current website administrator. As such I don't think it's an issue.--J2000ca 07:13, 16 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Looking at this edit, makes me think you had a software glitch, maybe with your browser. I suspect it was just your intention to add the {{Ontario-school-stub}} tag. I'm letting you know, so you can perhaps check over your other edits, to see if something is happening, which you didn't intend in other edits as well. --Rob 00:08, 26 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

-Thanks for the notice. I check over everything else and it looks fine.--J2000ca 05:10, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:QueensEngSocCrest.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:QueensEngSocCrest.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. PxMa 01:07, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Tea Room[edit]

I have made a proposal to merge the above article, The Tea Room with the queen's engineering student society. please let me know if you have any comments as the article's history shows you have contributed to the article. Thanks Ottawa4ever (talk) 11:33, 13 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:QueensLogo.png)[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:QueensLogo.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:10, 9 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
