Ampersand[edit]

Unfortunately I had to revert your WP:good faith edit to ampersand because yes, you were indeed correct, it is true. The problem is not the accuracy of what you wrote but its length. WP:Short descriptions are limited to 40 characters, see WP:HOWTOSD.

On a more general point, responding a reversion by a counter-reversion is not a good idea. If you don't understand or disagree, use the article talk page to explain why you believe your edit was correct and request counter-arguments. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
