I bet people would laugh at the idea of a massive encyclopaedia completely written by random people contributing randomly on random topics from random places in random languages purely voluntarily. Well, we are in one now. We have created this linked encyclopaedia like what Jorge Luis Borges envisioned.
Yes, I'm still just a novice editor, and I still struggle to get my citations perfect and still have to search up text formatting code (those three sentences above took me about half an hour); I love Wikipedia. The pure thought that I, just one of 8 billion, can contribute with my little bit of knowledge to this forest of wisdom, gives me a sense of accomplishment I cannot describe. Perhaps this is why I am slowly transforming into a Wikipediholic.
The name 'Daftation' comes from my Minecraft username I made around 5 years ago. My teacher used to call me daft all the time, and I thought I might make a tribute to him through my username. He left us with Leukemia four years ago.
