Untitled[edit]

I re-wrote this article as I recall reading about 'Roog' in one of Dick's collected Essays, in the book 'The Shifting Realities of Philip K. Dick'. I'm unsure which essay precisely, but i'm quite sure it appeared in this book. allthesestars 00:30, 07 Jul 2005 BST

not 1st published.[edit]

"Beyond lies the Wub" appeared in 1952, according to that article. That would make this (1953) published later. Since there's no verification, I'm going to delete the conflicting content.--Kangaru99 23:40, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not About Garbageman[edit]

Ok anyone who has read this short story knows this is not about garbage men(at least not regular garbage men). They Speak of An
Offering Urn. They Eat Egg Shells and Refer to the dog as a guardian.
Am i completely misunderstanding this story?
sorry if im just misunderstanding, but if im not i think maybe the content of the article should be rewritten under the basis that is inaccurately represents the story. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.224.170.68 (talk) 20:02, 23 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree it should be rewritten for greater accuracy though getting some citations before it's deleted entirely seems the first step in revision. Refrigerator Heaven (talk) 09:34, 16 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

YouTube video[edit]

Video on YouTube contains interesting anecdote about the inspiration for the story. It's basically the same that is currently in the trivia section, however it is told by Dick's second wife. I don't know about the licence of the clip so it may not be applicable for inclusion into the article. __meco (talk) 16:26, 26 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Publication Date[edit]

The story was pubslished in February 1953 - not November 1953. This information can be found in the internet speculative fiction database (for The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction, February 1953) and in any of the first volume of the collected stories, e.g. the UK Grafton edition "Beyond lies the Wub" 9-780-586-20764-2, p.503 or the Subterranean edition "the ing of the elves" 9-781-596-06340-2, p.476) - and basically anywhere. - Christoph — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.223.23.109 (talk) 21:04, 19 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
