Sweethaven Village[edit]

At the moment, Sweethaven Village is set to redirect to Popeye Village, as the film set is known by both names.

If anybody wishes to create a page on the fictional Popeye town, please ensure there is a link to the Popeye Village page so that nobody looking for the Maltese film set gets confused. ~ ► Wykebjs ◄ (userpage | talk) 13:32, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"Failed to Impress at the Box Office"?[edit]

There seems to be a popular myth about Popeye being a box office flop. Actually, it was the 12th highest grossing movie of the year according to Box Office Mojo. And if the budget estimate of $20 million in its Wikipedia entry is right, than its domestic box office gross 49 million was more than enough to make it a moneymaker.

Acccording to what the studio wanted it to make, it was considered to be a "flop", even though it DID take in more than it cost to make. 32.212.102.239 (talk) 07:00, 21 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Congrats[edit]

I just want to say that while I am glad that the locals were able to find some good use for it, I am surprised that "Popeye" still has a following after all of these years.173.86.53.238 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 05:23, 17 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Paint[edit]

The page says "2.5 cubic metres (2,000 US gal) of paint were also used in construction". 2.5 cubic metres (more commonly referred to as 2500 litres) is actually only 660 US liquid gallons, so something here is wrong. Peter Galvani (talk) 09:13, 29 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
