I am the daughter of a fallen state trooper and am troubled by the fact that most US citizens do not even know this day exist. Therefore, they are not aware that flags are to be lowered to half staff on May 15th each year. I have tried using e-mail as a means of spreading the word over the last 10 years. I have concluded that unless this day appears on the calendars that people have in their homes and workplace, it will continue to be overlooked. Since this has already been proclaimed by the federal government and made law, I don't think legislative action is needed. Does anyone know what needs to be done to get Peace Officers Memorial Day added to calendars? Jake136 (talk) 02:06, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry, but I think this is not the correct place to place it. Wikipedia is not a forum. Antonio Lopez(talk) 02:21, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
