Can anybody out there actually help me with this article? So I can meet the Wikipedia standards. Eren88 (talk) 00:43, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! The tips for writing biographies section at WikiProject Biography outlines the basic structure for writing biography articles. For articles on people convicted of crime(s), WikiProject Criminal Biography is a good place to start. I've added that WikiProject's banner to the talk page here so the article is included in that project, and I've added an infobox, section headers and additional references to your article. I hope it helps! --Oddharmonic (talk) 04:08, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Copy edit section: "Alcatraz escape attempt"[edit]

  1. Changed all instances of "custodial worker" to "guard" or "Custodial Officer". Changed one instance of "supervising worker" to "supervisor".
  2. Changed the spelling of Officer Cline's name from "Kline".

In current American usage a "custodial worker" is a janitor, not a prison guard. Even though unarmed, Royal C. Cline's title was "Custodial Officer", as cited on the SFgenealogy site. (While the "Officer Down Memorial Page" site refers to him as a "Correctional Officer", I believe that this more generic term is incorrect.) 173.45.200.48 (talk) 07:57, 21 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
