Request to add link to my article[edit]

Hi, I've been working on editing the Gothic double article for the past few months. It is still classified as a stub so I'm looking to divert some more traffic to the article in order for its classification to go up. I have a section on how the motif is used in Black Swan, and was wondering if I could please add a sentence or two in this article mentioning the use of the motif, and with a hyperlink to my own article? Please let me know. Thank you so much! Snowdrop Fairy (talk) 07:42, 22 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I arrived at this article while looking for Black swan theory. Should we add a link up top to direct readers like me? Rklawton (talk) 21:44, 17 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

How did you find and upload the poster without copyright issues?[edit]

I'm a newer editor looking to create a Wikipedia page for a film and I was wondering where you found the poster and how it was uploaded without copyright issues. Please explain. Factfanatic1 (talk) 22:02, 6 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Factfanatic1: Posters for most films, excepting old ones (pre-1920s) or those which were not renewed, will be copyrighted. So for Wikipedia, they would have to uploaded here locally instead of Commons, and under a claim of fair use. This involves using templates for a non-free use rationale (we have one for film posters) and a licensing tag. This might sound complicated, but you'd just fill in information and we have plenty of existing examples you could look at. You can find posters using Google Images; this specific one came from IMDB. For more help, you could always reach out to the Teahouse, which is especially newbie-friendly. Happy editing. Opencooper (talk) 00:40, 7 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, all.

A lot like Rklawton before me, I arrived at this page looking for Black swan, I suggest adding a direct link up the top for the bird species of the same name, as this was the first page that came up.

Thanks! ValiantEar564 (talk) 10:07, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
