Notability[edit]

At present, the article has one independent source. That source gives a single sentance plotline for the film "Operation Rudolph" which this article tells us was later re-named "Arthur Christmas". In any case, the article still lacks "substantial coverage in independent reliable sources". - SummerPhD (talk) 18:20, 5 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"a present falls out"[edit]

"However, his clumsy younger brother Arthur, who is assigned to handling childrens' letters in the mail department, inadvertently disrupts operations when he enters mission control to place some correspondence and a present falls out of the system as a result."

I thought the present falls out of place during the "waker" scare (and thus was Santa's fault).—Morning star (talk) 17:54, 27 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yup, you are right. And more precisely, it was fault of the elf, who got distracted during that scare.---Carniolus (talk) 18:49, 27 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

70 Missions[edit]

It seems to me that the 70 Missions is an upper limit which has historically marked the retirement of Santa. Grand-santa says something along the lines of "I did my 70 missions without all this...", and Steve is fully expecting Santa to announce his retirement on the completion of this 70th mission. In fact, all the elves seem initially shocked when Santa announces he "can't wait for year 71". --SnowmanJames (talk) 12:17, 31 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Prep & Landing vs Arthur Christmas Controversy[edit]

Many sources suggest that the film “Arthur Christmas” is highly derivative of the Disney film “Prep & Landing”, and the films seem to have been released two years apart. Someone more versed in the history of the films really should update both pages regarding this.
