American Century Investments is a Mutual Fund company that is based in Kansas City, Missouri with assets totaling nearly 100 billion dollars. The company was founded by James E. Stowers, Jr. in 1958. It employs around 2,000 people. The company prides itself on not being involved in any of the financial scandals that have rocked certain Mutual Fund companies. For investing, the company relies heavily on computer generated stock screening with special algorithms based on Mr. Stowers' own financial theories. From the personal wealth Mr. Stowers produced from American Century Investments, he started the Stowers Insitute, a 2 billion dollar biomedical research facility.

Post-buyout status[edit]

Is there any updated info that can be included on the current state of affairs at the company?

While it had long prided itself on its spotless track record, that was before the death of Jim Stowers and the subsequent sale of large parts of the company to a foreign holding company who does have multiple incidents of misconduct in recent years.

Surely, someone must have some balanced insight?
