Allan's MIll happens to be a requested article in the history category. Thus, I took the kindness of fulfilling that request.

I also added it's significance in the page.

You copied a page from a copyrighted site and didn't provide any sources to show why this is notable.--Terrillja talk 14:56, 9 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I changed the layout and wording and added more references

You changed a half dozen words. It is still by and large a copy and paste of a copyrighted site.--Terrillja talk 15:15, 9 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Then i will change more hold on

There we go, none of the wording is the same other than key words

And there is still no proof of why this is notable.... Being in requested articles doesn't make it notable. Things like the town library's site or a passing mention in a book does not show notability. See WP:GNG.--Terrillja talk 19:58, 9 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

it is notable because of labor and economic capital it brought to Guleph, a town now of over 100,000 residents, the mill played the biggest part of economic development there

there I now have more than twice the references

I'm sorry, but have you read WP:RS? Those are about as far from reliable sources as someone can get.--Terrillja talk 20:21, 9 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

not exactly, I have historical society entrees as well as reporters for civic and tourist reasons.

you should at least take copyright infringement off the list considering I changed all the wording and layout

Good Photographs[edit]

There are a lot of good photographs of the mill from the mid 19th century available here. It is the Guelph Library. They are claiming that they have the rights to the photographs. I don't know much about copyright law in Canada but I doubt very seriously that they can do this. Anyway, if the original author of this article can, they should contact the library and see about getting the ok to publish their digital photos. Or if someone lives in Guelph they can just go down to the library and take a digital photo cause there is no way in hell the library has the copyrights. I added a photo I found that is in the public domain but it is definitely not the best out there. Onefinalstep (talk) 01:41, 10 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This article is tagged for deletion even though I fixed the copyright layout problem as well as added references, i would appreciate it if someone got rid of the tag. -Sopher99

Yeah it looks like Terrillja might have jumped the gun and nominated it. You should go here and let your views be known. The article will probably have to get some comments from other editors before we take the tag off. Wait till tomorrow and see what everyone has said at the article's deletion page. Spring Mill Distillery[edit]

@Peter K Burian: if you are interested in reviewing it, the information about Spring Mill Distillery was moved to a separate article currently under draft. Marnevell (talk) 00:54, 14 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, Marnevell, looks fine to me. Peter K Burian (talk) 12:23, 14 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
