Description1975 Ford Landau (P5) coupe (19102673449).jpg
Tropic Gold.
The Landaus were built from August 1973-July 1976.
A luxury version of the Falcon Hardtop, based on the P5 LTD sedan.
From 1972, both the Falcon and the Fairlane were completely designed and built in Australia. The Fairlanes were longer in the wheelbase than the Falcon, the LTD, a luxury version of the Fairlane, was introduced in 1973. With the first LTD, the P5, a two door version was also available, the Landau.
Construction was done using the Falcon coupe body, with revised rear side window openings, an LTD front with hide-away headlights and a padded vinyl roof. The rear was slightly altered using a long horizontal joined tail light and indicators.
Standard equipment on the Landau includes 351ci V8, auto transmission, power steering, 4 wheel disc brakes, air conditioning, power windows, collapsible steering column, inertia reel seat belts and the list goes on and on. The only two Optional 'Extras' were leather trim and combination Radio/Stereo Tape Cassette. Only 1385 were made.
